Application of Caramba TR 7 Tank Interior Cleaner Concentrate
Machine application:
Apply to the tank via the spray head. Concentration: 0.5–5% depending on soiling and existing technology. The maximum application temperature is 80 °C.
Manual processing:
Apply undiluted or up to 1:20 and then, if necessary, apply as steam approx. 10 minutes in the case of stubborn soiling. Rinse with water. The maximum application temperature is 80 °C. The effect of TR 7 against many polymers (e.g. also lacquers/paints) is based on a combination of alkalinity, complexing agents, solubility enhancers and surfactants.
The mode of action of TR 7:
The effect of TR 7 on many polymers (e.g. also lacquers/paints) is based on a combination of alkalinity, complexing agents, solubility enhancers and surfactants. Solubility enhancers migrate into the paint coat and cause it to swell. Alkalinity breaks chemical bonds within the resist film. Both lead to the lacquer film becoming softer and “breaking apart”. Surfactants infiltrate and wet the swollen coating layer and help to lift it from the substrate. The complexing agents help to keep the detached paint particles in suspension so that they do not settle directly on the substrate again.
