Application Caramba Primer
Caramba High-Performance Primer Light Grey is preferably used for priming vehicle parts, truck bodies, aluminium equipment and sheet metal parts made of aluminium, zinc, copper, etc. Due to rapid drying and fast recoatability, Caramba Universal Primer Light Grey is particularly suitable for paint work carried out quickly and can be finished in one day. Caramba High-Performance Primer Light Grey can be painted over with itself and most commercially available nitro/water-based paints without any problems . Caramba High-Performance Primer Light Grey is free of heavy metals. The propellant is CFC-free.
Paint primer only with Caramba Primer
The High-Performance Primer Light Grey from Caramba is a fast drying one-component acrylic alkyd resin primer for metal surfaces such as aluminium or steel. Before any paint work on vehicle parts, superstructures or equipment made of the corresponding metals, you should apply it as deep primer to protect the surface from corrosion and weathering and to bring out the best of the overlying colour paint. Caramba Primer Light Grey is particularly suitable when damage to paintwork must be repaired or when painting large areas of vehicles, machines or metal parts that are exposed to the weather or other influences that would otherwise attack the metal surface.
For the application of Caramba Primer Light Grey
It is best to use the product at an ambient temperature of 16 to 25 degrees. The surfaces to be painted should be dry, free of dust and residues of oil, grease or rust and, if necessary, sanded. The Caramba Primer is supplied as an aerosol in a can. Shake the can thoroughly before use until you hear the mixing balls strike. Then spray the primer from a distance of 20 to 30 centimetres and let it dry. The deep primer drying time depends on the ambient temperature, the nature of the surface and the thickness of the application but is normally only about 20 minutes. After that, the Caramba Primer can be painted over with itself and most commercially available nitro or water-based paints without any problems.
