Cavity preservation – especially important in the winter
Cavity preservation on cars is of course important in any season. Cavities on the external covering must be protected against splashing water, rain and other environmental conditions throughout the year. With our Caramba cavity preservative, you can effectively seal doors and side panels as well as covering, boot lids and headlamp covers. But our cavity preservative can do much more. It is also perfect for the winterisation of agricultural machinery or commercial vehicles. This product seals also lock and weld seams and excels by some outstanding properties. It is temperature resisting up to 100°C, resisting to weak acids and alkalis and has self-healing properties for minor damages to mention only a few.
Tips on how to use Caramba cavity preservative
It is recommended to use our cavity preservative at temperatures between 15 and 25°C. Shake the can well before each use. First, remove any visible rust using an antirust product and then spread our cavity preservative using the supplied capillary tube deeply inside the concerned cavity. This product has excellent penetrating properties and seals almost every cavity efficiently. Guide the tube slowly and equally along the cavity walls and drill more holes with a maximal diameter of 4 mm for an even distribution. It is also advisable to refresh this rust protection at least every three years. You must be particularly careful when you weld parts that are treated with cavity preservative.
